There are several flying club associations located throughout the world, and Don has been an enthusiastic member of many.  Presently, Don enjoys flying model aircraft with his many friends with these Clubs.

  • Blacksheep Squadron
You might recall the Black Sheep Squadron as part of the famous World War II (WW2) Marine Corps fighter group.
Squadron #VMF-214 had 3 entirely different units that used the same squadron number during their Tours Of Duty from 1936 to 1944.  Today, the Black Sheep Squadron is an organization of model airplane builders and flyers who get together regularly to build and fly model aircraft.

  • Valley Flyers
The Valley Flyers is a group of aircraft modelers and flyers who enjoy navigating all types of scale models including Gliders, Radio Control and Rubberband-powered aircraft.
The Valley Flyers include people of all ages with a common interest in model airplane flying.  We meet at Balboa Park in the San Fernando Valley in SoCal where there is ample room to enjoy the good weather and share our aviation scale piloting experiences.

  • OFFC Club

The Old Fart's Flying Club (OFFC) is a group of 50-something flyers who build and fly rubberband and CO2-powered Model airplanes.  We meet each Wednesday morning at Stonehurst Park in Sun Valley, California.
