You might recall the Black Sheep Squadron as part of the famous World War II (WW2) Marine Corps fighter group. Squadron #VMF-214
had 3 entirely different units that used the same squadron number
during their Tours Of Duty from 1936 to 1944. Today, the Black Sheep
Squadron is an organization of model airplane builders and flyers who
get together regularly to build and fly model aircraft.
